Onward Upward, Hand in Hand
by Eva
Hand in hand, we took our journey, through the corridors of the past,
Where embedded fears, and torment: overwhelming shadows cast.

There I found my cold, dark prison but the doors were opened wide.
I was free, yet did not live it; I'd believed the devil's lies.

Now my heart sees more clearly.  Now I'm filled with gratitude
For the victory that was won me, through a love so misunderstood.

There my Savior stayed beside me, loving me through every turn.
How my heart leaped, deep within me as I watched past bridges burn.

"Blessed Savior, please forgive me.  Help me never to doubt again.
As we journey onward, upward, You and I, [L-rd] hand in hand."

"The Spirit of the L-rd G-d is upon me; because the L-rd hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek:
He hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and
the opening of the prison to them that are bound"  (Isaiah 61:1).
